A world-class snowboarder since the inception of the sport, Dr. Lenz has taken on some of the world's most challenging mountains, and lived to tell about it in his best-selling novels, Surfing the Himalayas and Snowboarding to Nirvana Frederick Lenz is a certified PADI Divemaster as well as a technical scuba diver, often diving to depths of 300-plus feet. He has been certified on the Atlantis I Rebreather, a device that recycles your breath, allowing you to stay underneath the surface for hours longer than with traditional equipment. Dr. Lenz dives all over the world: Fiji, Australia, the Caribbean, Hawaii, and many other places. In addition to being a world-class snowboarder and scuba diver, Rama is a black belt and has extensively studied several different martial art forms. He has always been interested in high-performance athletics and received his first degree black belt while in high school. |
